But 4.5 million whales have been taken out of the ocean in the last century resulting in a net reduction in CO2 removed from the atmosphere

In early 2022, WhaleX was shortlisted in the top 60 (among 1132 applicants) in phase 1 of Elon Musk’s $100M Carbon Removal XPrize. In 2023 WhaleX designed and deployed inshore bio-pods to assist with the Measurement, Verification and Reporting (MRV) of our ocean carbon removal process. In February 2024 WhaleX made its submission for the final stage of the $100 Million dollar competition.
